We spent one week at Jigsaw Farm (near Hamilton). It’s a 6700 hectare family property of Mark Wotten and Eve Kantor.
They are doing a very good job in their farm with revegetation and agroforestry.
Jigsaw farm is a very good example of the integration of environment in a farm. They have some revegetation areas for biodiversity and they try to link those areas with corridors.
At the begining, when they bought their properties, one of them was an experiment farm for a substainable managment. (the Potter farmer plan) So they chose to use these farm as a model and extend to their others porperties.
Now they try to improve this model and continue to integrate trees for economic and biodiversity reasons

Jigsaw Far est un très bon exemple d’intégration de la ferme dans l’environnement. Ils ont des aires de ré végétation consacrées à la biodiversité et ils essayent de lier aires entre elles par des corridores.
Au début quand ils ont achetés les différentes exploitations une d’entre elle était une ferme expérimentale pour une management durable. Ils ont donc décidé d’utiliser cette ferme come modèle et l’étendre aux autres propriétés.
Maintenant ils essayent d’améliorer ce modèle et continuent d ‘intégrer les arbres, à des fins économique et pour la biodiversité.
